Three hundred grams of pure Shea butter handmade in Mali by the ladies of the M'Pedougou village in partnership with the Peace Corps.
Enclosed in a Cedarwood box with an eighteen carat gold plated applicator wand.
Shea butter is an ivory-coloured natural salve extracted from the nut of the traditional African Butyrospermum parkii tree by crushing and boiling at a low temperature over a long period of time.
Shea butter melts at body temperature and absorbs rapidly into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling.
The actual oil of the Cedarwood, Juniperus virginiana, is used in perfumery and its distinct milky white wood scent intermingles with the scent of the nut butter. There is no added fragrance.
